Catoosa County will have two new football coaches in the fall.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School`s Mark Davis was the second head coach to turn in his resignation today.

Principal Jerry Ransom said Davis would be missed.

'I hate for his personal sake that he felt like he had to go,' he said. 'But Coach Davis is a good quality man and I know whatever he decides to do in his life he`ll do fine.'

Ransom said he didn`t anticipate naming a new coach anytime soon.

'There`s no rush,' he said. 'We want to find the best coach for our school and our community.'

LFO was 0-10 under Davis this year.

The Warriors have lost 19 consecutive games.

Mariakis doesn't need to come back to LFO....he was bad enough his 1st go around with the team. No one wants him back...good riddance. Bring back Allen.

No I don't think that Mark Mariakis will come back to LFO he's done such a great job over at Ridgeland, I think he stays put. So is John Allen coming back.hahaha

Let's hope LFO finds a coach who will take charge of his team and not allow the assistants, players, or booster club members to overrule any of his decisions. In addition, let's hope they find one who does not recruit or pay his players or their parents' rent. Do you think Mark Mariakis would be interested in coming back?
