Msla, I am so sorry to hear how hard things have been for you lately. I am glad your Church has kind and wonderful people who have helped you out. God bless you and the girls and I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a much happier New Year.

Mamatieritia, There are places you can get help, please check into it. I am also sorry things have been so hard for you.

Mamatigertia,
I pray for blessings and favor from God for you and your family! Nothing is impossible! Please speak up! Lots of people will help if they know how to help you!!

Here is something that just happened:
My youngest grandgirl prayed for some pajamas last Tuesday night. There's a longer story to this, but I'll tell that another time. And, the next afternoon, both my grandgilrs and I had decided to skip putting out all our regular Christmas things, the tree, etc., because I have been basically homebound and suffering from medical problems that leave my balance in shambles. Their mother was going to help, but she went back "off the wagon" so by Wednesday, we made our decision to get through this holiday the only way we knew.

I haven't been shopping so presents were not on the agenda. (We do have some little doo-dads, school and homemade construction-type things.) And, I've just started feeling better recently - where I could walk and talk better. So, Wednesday afternoon, we decided to get a tiny tree of some sort, use that as our tree, and next year, we'd use that as a decoration when we got our 'real' things out of the building and put them up.

Wednesday evening, our pastor's wife called. She said they wanted to bring us some things! I told her we were okay - please take them to people who didn't know the love of God. But she insisted. So, I told her what we had decided to stress that we really were fine. Well, they came after church that night. And they brought 2 tiny trees!!! One for each grandgirl to decorate - and they brought little decorations for them too! We all had fun; the visit was so grand!

Well, later, after the girls went to bed, I went through the things they had brought to figure out what and how to wrap things. And there, in the bags, were 2 pairs of pajamas - a set for each girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept them out and showed them to the girls the next morning!!! We have been "smoked" ever since!!! Only God knew how much those pajamas were wanted by the youngest!!! I wanted them to know how fast God will answer prayer when He wants - it truly is at His timing. I called the pastor and told him about the pajamas. It was a wonderful, crazy thing.

Please let people know of your situation. Nobody wants Christmas to be a time of sadness. It's fine to go without anything if you're strong enough to know that with Jesus, you're not really going without a thing. But if you're wishing for help, call out for it!! God hears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mamatigertia,

I'm so sorry for your despair at Christmas time. I wish that there were something I could do for you and your kids. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year seems so hollow. But I do send you my hope and love that you and your family will know better days ahead. Please call the sheriff's office and ask if there is an agency that could help you out this year. Or call this newspaper. There are ways we can all help show you the Love of the Season. Several of the local churches could help also.

My First Post
to here is what you see that no one knows the pain i plead. but nothing hurts more than at night when santas dead and all is quiet you see santa is not coming this year he forgot his way or did not hear. all the people around me you see dont know how much pain this is to me. I guess ill wake up and tell them all that sants died and its not real i begged for help and so i see that nobody care for an invisible family to be. fall through the cracks dont look around christmas is everywhere and noone is to be found. alone and gone what do you do your family stares and you boo hoo. you tried your best but all did fail. your family loves you but you are sad why cant you do what you promised me santa bring some presents and a pretty tree. I waited and tried and said a prayer but santa is not to be found anywhere. well i guess there old enough to know the truth. santas not coming hes only for youth. I look at my 11 year old my 14 and 16 my 17 and 18 year old children right in the eye and tell them that I have been telling them a lie. christmas morning is nothing just another day. I'll go back to bed and lay down anyway. nothing to smile for nothing to laugh no christmas joy or aftermath. no way to get help you see I cant drive. I have m.s. I just glad to be still alive. so you see all my friends and my family to. I have lied to my kids now i have to tell them the truth.

The next upcoming Holiday is St. Valentines day. I am really going to miss my Valentine this year, he always had a card for me if nothing else. He wasn't able to get out to make purchases but those cards that he usually had my daughter pick up, ment so much to me. Any of you who have a sweetie, don't forget them on February 14th.

Shiggy, I didn't know that about the word Holidays, how interesting. You know saying Happy Holidays has actually been around far longer then those that wanted to make it a politically correct saying. I guess because Christ wasn't in the word, they thought that made it a benign saying.

Isn't it wonderful that a son can drive 24 hours, so a mother can be with some of her grandchildren during the Christmas Holiday.

BTW, for those non-religious persons out there, Holidays is a concatenation of the words "Holy" and "Days".

Happy Holidays.
