The DNC last night, "the most important barrel of oil is the one we don't use" Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer. Why is this statement contradicting? |

Stayed up to watch Senator Hillary Clinton's speech at the DNC last night.Asking her supporters to rally behind Barak Obama and Joe Biden. One of the delegates interviewed afterwards said she would not vote for McCain, but wasn't yet convinced that Barak Obama would be who she would vote for. The delegate seemed disapointed that Hillary had "thrown in the towel" and was backing her party's nomination for President. She said Obama has not yet "connected" with her as one of the Hillary Clinton supporters. They gave a camera shot of Former President Bill Clinton and he was almost in tears listening to his wife give her speech. |

Obama's speech quotes on Joe Biden at the VP announcement in Springfield, IL:"That's the kind of fighter who I want by my side in the months and years to come" "That's what it's gonna take to forge a new energy policy that frees ourselves from our dependence on foreign oil and four dollar a gallon gasoline at the pump, while creating new jobs and new industries" "So let me introduce to you the next President, the next Vice President of the United States of America, Joe Biden!" Source: CNN LIVE ----------------- Joe Biden voted NO to H R 6 on July 29th, 2007 Voted NO to use of alternative energy fuels..... Voted NO to incentives for development of alternative energy sources such as wind and solar..... Voted NO to tax breaks for hybrid vehicles... Voted NO to contruction of more energy efficient buildings..... Creating new jobs and industries from Biden's three decades of old energy policies and energy useage habits? Guess Biden's energy position will be changed by Obama to that of a green enviromentalist? How 'bout Obama's slip of the tounge on introducing Joe Biden as the next President? maybe Obama knows something we don't about the future....... |

Senate Vote7/29/05 Vote 213: H R 6: Offered tax breaks and incentives in what supporters said was an effort to spur oil and gas companies to provide innovative wasy to reduce the nation's dependence on foreign oil, conserve resources and reduce pollution. The bill called for increase use of alternative fuels such as ethanol and offered incentives for development of alternative energy sources (such as wind and solar), tax breaks for hybrid cars, construction of more energy efficient buildings. The bill did not include the controversial proposal to open Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) for oil drilling, but the proposal was added to a later bill, which was defeated. The final version of the energy bill passed both the House and Senate in late July 2005 and was signed into law by the president on August 8, 2005. I don't know what tax boat they are sailing on but under the Clinton administration in 1997, we made around $120k and roughly $35k went into taxes; SSI, income, medicare and state income taxes.Where is this 6.2% tax rate coming from? Is that what those receiving the "gubamint entitlement" programs pay? |

Just in time for the winter season's heating bills.More incorporated fuel surcharges on our electric bills even after natural gas, oil and diesel fuel prices have been falling? Oh well, we can afford it. |

Chicken Little:a small acorn bonk on the head, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!" Henny Penny, Cocky Lockey, Goosey Loosey and Foxy Loxy, usually the moral means "do not believe everything you are told". Chicken Little jumps to a conclusion and everyone is driven into mass hysteria, and then Foxy Loxy uses this to manipulate them to his benefit, Lunch. What have you heard lately that fits this scenario? |

The Patriot Act was needed to close the holes in our government's LE and criminal intelligence gathering entities. Then there are those who do protest it, say the ACLU and those who see this as a violation of the Fourth Amendment, or right to privacy......running scared the skeletons in their closets may come to life. Political mudslinging reminds me of two neighbors who blow grass clipping on each others yard, to lazy to rake their own mess up, and each trying to outdo the other, never feeling that they have gotten even with them for the other's actions. 01-20-2009, Focusing on the end of an "error", only to be overshadowed by the mistakes of the next President and awaiting their end of term in office. For there are those persons who think everything George W. Bush has done since taking the Oath of Office for the Presidency of The United States, has been done by a man who has been compared to a dictator and anyone associated with that political party must be one in the same, John McCain to be included. Those who think the War in Iraq and any and everything President Bush has done is all a tangled web he weaves to benefit himself and his entourage of associates, may have been drinking whatever has tainted the water, ... maybe there is something in the water? Each political party has faulty politicians who can find all the faults in society and government, but have little to offer in the way of solutions, or lack the drive to pursue the solutions in favor of working harder than their official political job with "what can the country do for me" self entitlement attitudes. Sometimes I like to take fishing expeditions with "bait" and troll in a speed boat just to see what is lurking in the murky waters of opinions out there. |

Just when they think W is leaving office, Don't forget about the Patriot Act.....From a Wikipedia page last modified on 16 August 2008, at 12:48. --------------- Passed the House on October 24, 2001 (Yeas: 357; Nays: 66) Passed the Senate on October 25, 2001 (Yeas: 98; Nays: 1) Signed into law by President Bush on October 26, 2001 USA PATRIOT Act was introduced into the House on October 23, 2001 and incorporated H.R. 2975, S. 1510 and many of the provisions of H.R. 3004 (the Financial Anti-Terrorism Act). It was vehemently opposed by only one Senator, Russ Feingold, who was the only Senator to vote against the bill. Senator Patrick Leahy also expressed some concerns. Michael Moore in his film Fahrenheit 9/11. In one of the scenes of the movie, he records Congressman Jim McDermott alleging that no Senator read the bill and John Conyers, Jr. as saying "We don't really read most of the bills. Do you know what that would entail if we read every bill that we passed?" Congressman Conyers then answers his own rhetorical question, asserting that if they did it would "slow down the legislative process". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_PATRIOT_Act -------------- BS: Democratic Senators were united together with only one, Feingold, opposing the Patriot Act. War with Iran hasn't been declared, YET..... The fat lady hasn't sung and those proverbial chickens aren't hatching either....... |
