Romans,What ? More blasphemy ? Don't decieve yourself into thinking I will spend a single moment in worry over anything you might think, or say, about my beliefs. Your last post is pure foolishness, and only serves to further demonstrate how completely off base your pretense of understanding the bible really is. I didn't enter into this latest discussion to have another argurment with you, or Grace, about scriptures. Either of your pretended knowledge of scripture is so unfounded in any actual understanding of the Bible that such arguments are a complete waste of time. I entered into this only to prevent someone from being misled by falsehoods. You mention water so much more than I, or anyone else does. Including the passage of scripture you continually attempt to falsify. I have pointed out to you previously, that COMMAND of the LORD, which you continue to blasphemy, DOES NOT mention water. IT DOES COMMAND the 11 disciples to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the WHOLE WORLD. IT DOES NOT SAY ONLY THE NATION OF ISRAEL. IT DOES NOT SAY JUST THE JEWS. IT SAYS, AS DOES THE OTHER GOSPEL ACCOUNTS, "THE WHOLE WORLD". EVERY NATION, EVERY CREATURE. THE GOSPEL of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. I think you fail to grasp something which is VERY significant. I worship GOD. The TRUE GOD. The ONLY GOD. The ALMIGHTY GOD. WHO SPOKE, AND CREATED THE WORLD. HIS WORD BECAME FLESH. HIS PLANS DO NOT FAIL. HIS PLANS WERE CERTAINLY NOT "INTERUPTED" (As you so often claim they were.) HIS WORD WAS NOT CORRUPTED. (AS YOU HAVE CLAIMED IT WAS). IT WAS PRESERVED. You sir, have been misled into believing a false doctrine. You seek to mislead others. Since you like Paul, I will end my participation in this distasteful conversation with his warning to Titus. Titus 3:8-10 (King James Version) 8) This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. 9) But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 10) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; THE WORD OF GOD BECAME FLESH. I WILL CONTINUE TO HEED THAT WORD. |

"Anyone who googles the name Diogenes will know who has the wacky reasoning." Another absolutely brilliant attempt to discredit somone who doesn't agree with you. I am certainly impressed with how much you have grown spiritually since the last time you said something like that. Can't think of anything new and original ? Have a happy and safe holiday, and be sure to go to church somewhere this weekend. |

Grace,You do so strive to wallow in arguments about stuff that doesn't matter. Like whether or not you used the words "Original Hebrew". So what if you didn't ? The intent of the KJV translators, whose efforts you so studiously described, was to use the "Original Hebrew". There are were no known copies that were intact, so the various numbers of fragments you described were then thought to be the "Original Hebrew". I don't know why I am bothering to answer any of your questions, but you seemed to want to make some kind of point on this, and I didn't want to keep you from your work. |

Romans,There are many false doctrines being taught today, and you have fallen victim to one. I am sure you could not be more wrong than you currently are if you used the NIV, or even the Joseph Smith version of the bible. I make a distinction between a “false doctrine” and an actual “CULT”, whenever I discover an intentional effort to mislead ALREADY SAVED CHRISTIANS away from God’s WORD. Such as attempting to convince others that what they learned in Church, what they base their beliefs upon, are wrong. Or attempting to convince others that there are two gospels. Or is it three ? I do think you were claiming a third when talking about the angel mentioned in Revelation. Or is it more than three ? Seems like you mentioned another when talking about Noah. It really does not matter at all to me what you say, so please do not bother answering. There is only ONE Gospel of Jesus Christ. One Body, One Baptism. Not a Jewish Church and a Gentile Church. For all your pompous talk on believing the whole bible, whenever you read something in it that opposes what you claim, you just brush it aside as not pertaining to you in this “dispensation”. I consider what you have said on the topic of Baptism, as pure blasphemy. Any Baptist that would not consider it the same, simply has no sound foundation in the teachings of the Christian church. The LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST commanded believers to be Baptized. Clearly that is what the Bible says. . You can read it in plain “Old English” right on the pages of your KJV, in more than one place. That is all I need to know about it. I do not need to interpret it. I do not need to “spiritualize” it. I do not really even need to understand it. I simply take what the LORD said about it seriously. He commanded His disciples to preach His gospel to the whole world. He commanded those that believe, and get baptized would be saved. I simply follow the command of the Lord. As did all the Apostles who believed, including Paul. Some didn’t believe. They were damned, with no mention of baptism. Do you think I will spend one moment in worry that following the Lord’s command was wrong ? Just because some wrong minded, misguided, blind pilgrim like you says so? For all your talk about “Salvation”, you fail to acknowledge Jesus as LORD, by refusing to accept His commands as pertaining to you. This is a failure to understand a crucial truth. “Justification” is by God’s Grace, and not by work of man, but justification is only a part of salvation. It is what makes salvation available to us. Of all the many different false doctrines I have encountered, most fall into one of two extremes. One extreme places far too much emphasis on Works, while the other places far too much emphasis on the absence of Works. One extreme misunderstands James and Peter, while the other extreme misunderstands Paul. I think you misunderstand all three. |

While Grace is busy with flimsy attempst at character assasination, and other hateful forms of witnessing for her beliefs, I think I'll say a few things to Romans, and then be quiet for a while.Talking with you two makes me want to go take a bath. |

Whoops,It is all coming too fast for me to take it all in. Now Grace is looking for stuff on "anti-KJV sites" Does it make it easier for you to attack Christian beliefs by knowing their "Label" ? |

Oh bother,The two of you are just too funny together ! I don't know which is funnier. Grace pretending to like what an evangelical preacher teaches about the Gospel, or Romans claiming his beliefs are similar to Scofield's. I think you both are trying pretty hard to claim some kind of respectabilty for your cult. |

Romans,Is English your first language ? If it is something else it would not only explain the difficulty you have in understanding the KJV it would explain how you could possibly have arrived at such an incorrect understanding of what I said about Origen. I did not say that what Origen produced was close to what was used in the time of Christ. I said the Greek version he used was. I wasn't talking to you, or I would have put it into simpler language. Whenever you don't know what else to do, you start trying to discredit those who disagree with you, but I doubt your whacky reasoning means much to most people. It means even less to me. |

Ringgoldone,An overall excellent post ! I especially agree with, and applaud, the last line. I think one of the greatest miracles is the fact that the Bible has now been translated to as many languages as it has been, and the Word of God is now availble to most of the world. I read in last Sunday's paper that Work is curently in progress to translate it into the remaining few hundred languages of the world. The command of the Lord to preach the Gospel to the whole world, could actually be completed in our life time. The power of the Word of God is an awsome thing. |

Peace to you,
I think about how much you always resist being labeled.
It was Romans who finally acknowledged the label "Mid Acts Dispensationalist" and actually made it possible to come to a more accurate understanding of what you both believe.
I do applaud Romans for at least having the guts to admit what he believes rather than being decietful about it.
I too, am not ashamed to state what I think truth.
I think there is very little of truth, or substance in the the things you have said today, and I won't waste more than the moment it takes to type this minimal response to it, and I will waste even less time in worry about whatever else either of you might say.
I will agree with you on one thing only.
Just because I say it is "blasphemy", or call it a "cult", doesn't make is so.
That is only my opinion on the matter.
I did not just decide that is what it is.
I came to that conclusion only after a lot of study, and call in that because that is exactly what I see it as being.
Certainly, it is not only me who calls it such things.
It is labeled "false doctrine" and "balsphemy" by many well known men of God.
It is, in fact, often given a far worse label than either of thosse words.
We have never rationally discussed the Ironside work here, other than for you to claim it isn't accurate for you because he lumped several groups together.
So, as a sign of civility toward you, I will leave the Ironside work alone.
There are many, many, more to choose from.
Have you ever read anything by Bob DeWaay ?
He has lately produced a very good article which is more contemporary than the Irsonside piece, and it deals pretty much exclusively with the Mid Acts Dispensationalist teachings that you promote.
He throws Bullinger to the wayside where he belongs right at the start of the work, and goes right after Stam, and the current MAD crop found on the radio.
He very effectively refutes all such attempts to subvert the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ over His Church.
He does a much better job of it than I have been able to do.
I am not promising anything, but If I can find the title to that work, I may post it tomorrow for your enlightenment.
BTW --- Why have you lately started calling Romans a "she/he" ?
