wes.......... do you think your comments on the speeches apply only to the Democrats? Sure those speeches were carefully crafted. These are important speeches these people are making. Do you not think the same preperations are going on with our friends across the aisle. The republicans are doing the same thing as we speak. What's your point? Something wrong with being prepared?

Good article. Did not know much about this law. Looks like a little overkill on the part of state lawmakers.

I participate in the Zogby polls on a regular basis. I agree that polls don't vote, however they can be a good gauge if done by legitimate pollsters such as Zogby. It is also a gauge of opinion at a "certain moment in time" and that CAN change depending on how things further develop (like a campaign for instance).

Guess she didn't. She must not be as "high up" in the Clinton campaign as she thought she was. Kind of hard for her to speak for the whole country, as the poll showed.

Thank you for clarifying that you are a "non-believer". That puts your comments about those that are less fortunate into perspective.
We all think that those who are able to work, should work. And there will ALWAYS be those who find ways to abuse the system. But you "don't throw the baby out with the bath water" so to speak. We must continue to correct the problems that allow for the abuse.

However, according to you gator, NO ONE deserves any help from their fellow man. In my opinion, you are walking on some thin ice with some of your posted remarks. If and when you fall through (the ice) I wonder if you will take the hand of that "lower class" person that is there to help you out !!

Everything we have (own) belongs to God. He just allows us to take care of it for him, for a while. He can take it back at ANY time, without warning.

To say that Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama is just a TAD bit misleading, ringgoldone. Of course, I have become accustomed to expecting no more from you.

Per a recent NBC News/WallStreet Journal poll:

Choice for President Among Clinton Voters:

52% Obama
21% McCain
27% Unsure

Sorry but it is well documented that Obama has Clintons clear support. You just wish it were not true,

McCain is already conceding (in my opinion) that he is in trouble. He must think that he can't win simply talking about his own campaign or what can (or can't) do. He has to put out his little cutesy commercial trying to exploit any tension between the Obama and Clinton supporters. The ad is really misleading due to the fact that Clinton has more than once stated that her support for Obama is CLEAR. McCain, however, chose to omit those particular comments from the ad.

Of course, I would not expect anything less from the Republicans! It really is not surprising.
McCain........ worry about your own race. That should keep you plenty busy!!

Gator....... if someone else is paying for your kids education (scholarship) then......... that means "someone else is paying for your kids education". Not you. If you don't want to call it a handout, call it a gift. But someone else is paying for it.

By the way gator... ARE you a "believer"? You don't have to answer of course, but it would sure put your previous comments into "perspective". Enlighten us, if you will.
