I have not had the opportunity to stop by here recently and was just now able to watch the interview with SP. OMG he is a complete Sociopathic Narcissist with a serious compulsive lying problem. Half the problem is the lie, the other half is how freakin' bad he is at lying. That was simply unreal to watch. The reporter must have been having to manually hold his chin up or his entire mouth would have been gaping open. Dear lord. The part that was really crazy is when he said that (not exact quote) "I couldn't believe the stuff that they were allowed to do. Tap the phones, GPS on the truck..." Uh, Sam, last we all checked you were a police officer for 26 freakin' years! Of course you knew they could do that you dumb psychotic liar! The contradictions in his interview were enough to make a sane person's head spin off from trying to keep up!

I wanted to ask, and mean absolutely no disrespect while doing so, how is it that Theresa was ever married to him? She seemed like such a wonderful and caring person, and he seems like an easy read to me in his deceitfulness. I just can't wrap my head around how someone like her ended up with someone like him. She deserved so much more than that, and I am not a relative or friend, but can clearly see how genuine Theresa was. It's just such a pity, so, so sad.

Looking at the positive side of things, SP does not seem too terribly bright. He left enough of a trail to eventually face prosecution with or without finding Theresa. I want Theresa found because that is what she and her family and friends deserve, but have full confidence that they can win this case, either way, one day. I do have faith though, that she will be found, I only regret that it is taking so long. I continue to pray for resolution and peace for the loved ones. I pray that God shines His light down for investigators to clearly see where she is, as I have no hope that SP will ever tell. That goes against every psychoanalytic profile of his personality. He will deny it till the very end with damning evidence staring him in the face, no doubt about it. And one day he will get exactly what he deserves.

Glad to see that everyone is still staying focused on finding Theresa and keeping her name out in the public domain. It can't help but get off topic around here every once in a while since it's been 2 months, but for the most part it has been focused. This poor family just wants some peace of mind and want to have the ability to have a proper burial, yet someone (I have my own opinion on who) refuses to give them the answers out of spite. Not one ounce of compassion for them or for Theresa. It's just disgusting to watch. I hope one day soon they have an answer, because the not knowing is the hardest part.

Totally agree Medko. I am very sure that they have evidence from the vehicle that proves that she was in there. Possibly evidence in the home, but nothing that could conclusively prove that she is dead. For instance, if they had found a large quantity of blood in the home that could "prove" she was killed. Right now it most certainly is very strong circumstantial as opposed to a slam dunk. Typically prosecutors hold out for a number of months to see if anything stronger turns up. Laci Peterson's case would have still been brought to a Grand Jury had she not been found, but they just had fantastic luck that she was found. With the way things were going with SP, I'm sure they thought that possibly he might snap and confess or make a mistake, but since things have quieted down they are making the decision now when to pull the trigger to prosecute.

Exactly aleamon98! Even gossip helps in a way because it ultimately keeps the name in the news and on people's minds. The other option is for everyone who has nothing but speculation and gossip to stop talking or posting. If that happened there would be silence as pertains to this case because as of right now there are no leads. The only difference between LE and the public sitting around speculating is that they usually have a bit more info to go on and have had "formal" training. It certainly doesn't mean someone right here can't theorize something pertinent. Sometimes outsiders have better vision and see a different route. Keep putting the ideas out and hopefully one of them will actually help. But definitly do not stop talking.

Juga- I have personally been amazed at how many parts of an investigation are not done sometimes. You could say, "hopefully they've done the testing", but you can't say for sure. I've seen alot bigger investigation miss something so damn obvious is was laughable.

Anyone who says LE doesn't read these types of blogs has never been an investigator with no leads coming in. I've personally seen crimes actually solved because of a websleuth. I've also been apart of a team that has given very relative info to authorities based on websleuthing in some very high profile crimes that helped LE. My point is that everyone here has something to add that is relevant and whether it is directly pointing in the direction of evidence or whether it is something that happens to give LE an idea, it is worth putting it out there to help. So, I hope everyone takes into consideration each persons opinion and doesn't bother arguing, but instead adds their own opinion and maybe we can get somewhere that is constructive and help find this poor woman.

LOL Cumberland! I think you hit the nail on the head! I've found that most people on blogs who come in and pretend to know everything yet prove nothing, really don't know much. It's flaming really because it is made to stir the pot and get everyone irritated, not do anything in the way of adding to the discussion. They come in, drop a bomb, leave and watch everyone go completely off topic bickering back and forth over nothing. It's best to ignore it.

As far as there being more to this story then we will ever know, I doubt it. Once this case is solved, and I'm pretty sure it will be, everything will come out that is pertinent to the case. Anything else is useless info if it doesn't apply to this case so it doesn't matter whether it comes out or not.

I completely disagree that anyone is giving any ideas to another killer as far as where to hide a body. If someone really wants to kill someone and hide the body, they'll do it and find a place all on their own. They won't go read up on a blog and take an idea that someone mentioned. That woudl mean that they are hiding a body in a known place TO hide a body. Seems improbable.

The best thing the GBI can do in order to search for Theresa would be to meet with those people who knew SP and his routes, hangouts, fishing areas, and any other places he may be familiar with within a 30mi area and start knocking them out one at a time. I'm stunned they haven't been holding organized searches. That effort ended WAY too soon. It does make one wonder what the hell they are doing. I'd also be interested to know if they soil tested the tires to her car along with the floormats and such, to see if there are any distinguishing soils. They all need to think of what they would do in that situation since they are all cops. Where would they go? I hope and pray this is resolved soon.

Evan- There does not appear to be any kind of conspiracy involving high ranking officials causing Theresa to run off or be killed for information she may have known. Highly improbable. Conspiracy theories are fun to come up with, but rarely found to be true. SP had motive, opportunity, ability and temperment to commit this crime. One does not have to "almost" kill someone before they kill for the first time. That is not a recursor. ESPECIALLY when dealing with domestic issues, which were a plenty in this case. Besides the fact that everyone knew Theresa was scared of SP.

GAgal- I agree with most of what you said except the part about someone who is suicidal also is homicidal. That is absolutely not correct. The majority of people who are suicidal are only interested in harming themselves not anyone else. Typically suicidal people are strictly depressed and can see no way out of their situation. SP is suicidal because he's a sociopath who wants to reform the opinion of the public to be favorable of him and he thinks that threatening suicide will get him sympathy. He is a narcissist. He seems most like a temper tantrum killer and the suicidal threats are another type of temper tantrum. (see Robi Ludwig for "temper tantrum killer" definition)

Exactly cck36! I'm not even sure what the hell Jonathan needs to be found "credible" for right now. Does he need to be credible to go help his wife search for her sister? Does he need to be credible to make pleas for Theresa's safe return or help aid in a search? Last I checked he wasn't the person of interest and has only been there to help. As far as him being in the public eye...he DIDN'T ask to be. That family has been thrust into the glare of the media because of the situation. That does not give anyone a right to dig into his personal life or to try to defame him on a blog when he is not here to defend himself. He didn't sign-up for this, he wasn't out to get famous. The media chose to shove microphones in the family's faces to try and get a statement. Put it this way, at least he IS out doing something to find her because a certain person of interest hasn't done a damn thing except try and get pity attention.

In comparison to SP being on display, he's the ONLY person of interest. He's the husband and he's being investigated. His life is on display because he created the situation. He just didn't expect the media to be so big, or for the public to care so much.

Cash35, if what you say is true, (which none of us truly know), I certainly sympathize. I've been in the mother's shoes while the guilty party was ministering to children and pretending to be some fantastic person! It's a disgusting thing for a parent to do. I can even understand why you felt compelled to lash out here about it, because you are made sick to your stomach to see him out there playing the hero. I just feel that we HAVE to stay focused on Theresa, even if that means teaming up with people we don't like/respect, if it is what brings her home to the rest of her family. She deserves the spotlight right now, not him.

I agree GAgal about the lawyer. Typically they do come out and say something because they are actually doing their job helping their client. Right now SP needs some serious PR help if he ever wants to find a job or walk down the street in that town without getting lambasted by someone. Has absolutely nothing to do with being charged or not. Lawyers do a whole helluva lot more than just represent clients in courtrooms, at least they're supposed to if their worth the dollar you're paying them. And Juga, I think everyone has gotten your point about the explosives since you have had to restate it so many times. People just don't see it the same way as you. Even if it was "innocent" in the way you are suggesting (him having them for 12 years)he still chose not to fight it by appeal which says alot. Innocent people typically fight to make sure everyone knows they are innocent. It doesn't automatically make him guilty to not come out and fight the suspicions, but it doesn't help him either. If I were giving him advice I would tell him to hold a press conference or do a sit-down interview to tell people his story. People need to hear his story so that they can defend him, otherwise they are left to their own imagination. Unfortunately, I don't think he is innocent and all of his actions before and after Theresa going missing back that up.
