GaGal- I don't mean to imply Sammy was valedictorian or a rocket scientist. I do however
think he was "smart" at the things he pondered- like killing people and making them disappear.

What do ya wanna bet ole Sammy Boy was stung out on SSRI's? I lay 10,000:1 odds the ole
boy has been crunching that crap for years. Look at him. He's like, "Whats the big deal folks?
She's gone. So what?" typical as it gets- flatline paxil man. blink, who cares?

strangerdude- dust in the wind. somebody is waiting on something to reposition so that
somebody else wont have to be impositioned.

blondie- you are correct. someone knows. a lot of someones know. I don't think TP's
body will ever be identified. It sounds a little open ended, lack of closure, the thought of
a restless resting place- but really, in the end aren't we all returned to dust? The body is
nothing but a vessel for the soul as it occupies this existence for a moment in time. It is the
spirit that no one can kill. It is the spirit that lives on into eternity. It is the spirit that brings
life to the physical body and it is the spirit that is safe and secure as it moves through each
dimension. A "decent burial" is something we all appreciate but sometimes we must adapt
and make do with what we are provided. Easy for me to say, I realize that, but we never
know what we will have to deal with and it is our complex ability as humans to adapt that
makes us so special. Wonder how ole Sammy boy is doing? Wonder why ole Sammy boy
has elected to let this trial date drag on? Ole Sammy boy ain't no dummy. There must be
good reason for his strategy...

GAgal- I agree with you. For every one that is reported, there are 3 more that never
make the "News". The problem is that knowing it and doing something about it are two different
things... Nothing new though. Same stuff has been going on for many years. We happened to
witness the tip of the ole iceberg with the TP case...

From the August 17th Rome News Tribune--

The Chattooga County Sheriff's Office today identified the man whose body was found Saturday in a state park as a Summerville man.

According to officials at the Sheriff's Office;

Joseph Daniel Smith, 48, was found Saturday morning at James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park, south of Summerville.

Investigators will not be releasing more details on the circumstances of the death or other information until Monday morning.

Sounds like yet another Chattoga County style Suicide... They're becoming famous for em.
Sheriff Ralph Kellet sweeps in, destroys the crime scene and reports to the Summerville
news with his spin.

All in a days work. Not in this country right? Wrong.

So what happens if Patterson loses the election? Will the Attorney General have to appoint
another "special prosecutor" to try Sam's case? How long would it take for the new prosecutor
to get up to speed and prepare for trial? How does that work? Anyone know?

What's the holdup on Ben Chaffin's court date? Will the trials run simultaneously? BC was charged nearly a year and a half ago... Talk about limbo. Is anyone running against Leigh Patterson in November?

I think the case was solved during the first few weeks after TP went missing. I don't think her remains will ever be identified and the time SP is spending in lock up right now will be the extent of his formal punishment when the case is dropped due to technicalities about a year or so from now. Like it or not, we must come to grips with the fact that some criminals go unpunished, even for murder...

walked over the grave without howling... Eddie wouldn't make such a mistake would he?
