I am NOT defending child molestors. There is no defense for them. They are some of the lowest scum on the earth. One of the problems with this law is that it applied to all registered sex offenders. Not all registered sex offenders are child molestors. One case in point is of the 27 year old woman whom when she was 17 had oral sex with her boyfriend (now husband) who was 15. Because of this she is required to register. Is it fair for this law to apply to her and others like her? I don't think so. |

from my understanding of the SPLOST law we can only approve or disapprove the entire package, we aren 't allowed to pick and choose the projects. It looks like the only thing we could do is demand that the city/county allow a public vote prior to a SPLOST election to allow the citizens to decide which projects to include in the package. |

>>>If SPLOSTS are going to be forced on us, we need to have line item votes on SPLOSTS instead of packaged wishlists!Brian, I agree with this but it will never happen. They put them in packaged lists so they will pass. Single item votes would rarely, if ever pass. |

>>>negotiate with homeowners in Celanese to buy the land behind Rome High that butts up to the school's propertyBrian, This may be for the secondary access road into the school that was passed in the last splost. |

>>>Soooo, why did we need this pedestrian bridge?Brian, Because some people are too lazy to walk down to the bridge and back up. Here's an idea, make it a toll bridge and make the people who actually use it pay for it. This is not an original idea by me I think I saw it in someone else's post and stole it. If I could remember who I would give them credit. |

I don't know. I like the Fair Tax Plan myself. It's needs to be given more "air time". |

I'm not an elected official and I don't like this plan either. I agree that we need a new tax plan but this one is not it. I don't want the state legislature deciding for me where my tax money should go. I don't want them sending my Floyd county tax dollars to Fulton county because they need more money and shorting Floyd county on the money it needs. The lottery was never supposed to replace school taxes. It was only to be used as a supplement for certains type of purchases. |

Willow, The lady was not a drug dealer. The officers fabricated the evidence and search warrant that is why they plead guilty. |
