I'm not even sure what laws we have in place now. That could be a huge part of the problem. How are other people supposed to follow laws they aren't sure of? I just do what I think is logical pertaining to my pets. All of them no longer have the ability to reproduce, they are all up to date on their shots and annual Vet visits, and my yard is fenced in because a.) it's annoying enough when someone else's dog is loose, I'm not going to add to the problem, and b.) I'd rather my pups NOT get hit by a car.
In my subdivision there is actually a restriction for only two outside pets. I'm not even sure if everyone in my neighborhood knows that. I'd rather there be a county wide blanket rule rather than a subdivision to subdivision rule. Who wants to keep up with that?
I've adopted and taken care of more than my fair share of animals over the years and quite frankly I'm tired of picking up the slack. The community just needs to step up and address this issue and actually DO SOMETHING about it.

Oh, and no, he doesn't have ADHD. Nice book to read on that is "The hyperactivity hoax," by Dr. Sydney Walker. Gives one pause before doping up one's child. My parents put me on Adhd meds when I was younger. There is no way I'm doing that to my kids.

Haha, I wish they'd paddle my son. I know that after just one time he'd straighten up for them. He doesn't see them as authority at all. It doesn't matter how I handle his behavior at school when he gets home because he's only 5 and isn't making the connection. Besides, he knows full, good, and well that he can pull one over on the teacher. I don't want them to beat my son or anything, but a paddling would do him some definite good.

I really liked Dr. Brooks and he is right, new and fresh ideas are critical for growth. I think NTC needs a shot of something new.

Splendid idea. While your at it enforce a leash/fence law so my kids can play outside with out "stray" (and by that i mean the neighbor's dogs) dogs bothering them and coming on to my property. Also, my dogs (whom are fenced in) won't bark all night because there are strange dogs cruising the subdivision. Also, it is highly expensive to take care of one dog properly, I doubt that Walker county is eat up with people who could afford to correctly tend to five dogs, and those who CAN afford it probably don't want five.

I think it's horrible that this has happened. Hopefully the money will entice someone to turn the hooligans in.

The square could use some spiffing up. and most of those buildings have parking near the back. People just might have to "oh lawd" walk a little. It can be done.

Are they still looking? I mean, REALLY looking? I feel so bad for her family.
I do hope that at least they find some evidence to arrest someone or something.

I adopted a dog recently from WCS. She's a joy. The kennel was clean and generally the place looked well kept. I could definitely tell that they are doing all they can at the shelter. It really boils down to the community now.

That's just bad judgment. fine him and leave it be. It's not like he gave them hard core erotica.
